When fear hits, we have two choices.
One, we can see it for what it is, call it out as a lie, and kick it in the face. Or…
Two, we can get stuck in the middle of the mind swirl. What if we “what if?” ourselves to death meaning “what if this happens?”, “what if that happens?” as fear takes our entire being hostage.
I know, it sounds a little dramatic, but the truth is, fear will take you out and you must not allow it.
How do we see fear for what it is? We must pay attention to the thoughts in our head.
Socrates said, “The unexamined life is not worth living.” Yet few people sit down to weigh seriously that which controls their decisions.
When I began to evaluate my own life, I surprisingly found that fear was my uninvited tour guide in certain situations. I realized it was very important to know why I was running in the direction I was running.
Unfortunately, there are areas of our lives where we run in the complete opposite direction that we want to go. Or worse yet, we try to run towards our goal but with our heads turned around focused on the past.
As you might imagine, it is impossible to run very fast or in a straight line when your head is turned around looking behind you. That’s why the Bible says that we must forget “those things which are behind us and reach for those things ahead.”
How do we see fear for what it is? We must pay attention to the thoughts in our head.
Fear takes the past and makes a case for what will probably happen in the future. It is baiting you to turn around in order to get you off track.
It’s Time To Take Inventory…
What is it that you can’t let go of?
What is it that you cannot forget?
What are those things that are keeping you from moving forward in life?
What is it that you fear?
The reason I ask is because you can’t defeat your enemies until you know who they are.
Cancer was an obvious enemy. As soon as I heard the words come out of the doctor’s mouth, fear showed up. And I know most of you would give me a pass and say, “Andrea that is normal to be afraid in that situation.” I understand and appreciate your empathy, but according to the Bible, there is no reason to fear.
Why?
Well, I once heard it said that fear stands for:
F-alse
E-vidence
A-ppearing
R-eal
And the truth is, God knows fear is going to try to trip us up. This became a powerful thought to me.
That’s when I had to make a decision. Who was I going to listen to? Fear or faith?
As you know by now, my faith is in the God who wrote the Bible. And He has promises that I can hold onto.
“Do not fear, do not be afraid, for I am with you.” – God
I believe with all my being that He created the universe, and therefore, if there is anyone to trust, it would be Him.
His Word is filled with promises—promises of His help in our time of need, promises of life and not death. I had to choose to look fear in the face and walk past it to my God who I knew had a solution.
Fear takes the past and makes a case for what will probably happen in the future. It is baiting youto turn around in order to get you off track.
Your faith may be in something different than mine, but in these times of fear or faith, you need to know who you have your faith in.
Don’t worry, God’s got this…
Let me know what area of fear you are ready to overcome in your life. I’d love to stand with you and watch you win!

The fear of mystery, invisible illnesses and a LACK of diagnosis, and the fear of unfulfilled dreams! The fear of an unlived life, held back by disease. Jesus is my healer and holds my every dream. He will be faithful to bring them to fruition! Regardless of a true diagnosis, Holy Spirit knows every fiber of my being, everything my body needs, and He will lead me in my healing!

On Molokai, we fly small, 8 seated planes to get to the outer islands. You know this Andrea, lol! And that’s my fear, flying those little Cessna planes. Slowly I am over coming this fear. I’m flying to our Prophetic Conf. in Kings Cathedral on Maui on a small 8 seated Cessna! Glory to the Lamb hallelujah!!!
You took the words right out of my mouth❤️ Diagnosed with stage 2 invasive breast cancer HER2 positive. Have felt God leading me towards the natural path of healing which takes trusting and having Faith in him. The enemy has tried so many ways to place fear in me and make me make fear based decisions. I have had to step back numerous times and ask myself, “is this fear? Fear is not of God!” Moving on???? My God is bigger than any diagnosis! And he is Healer of all things!
