A great way to make nut milk

A while ago I stumbled upon this wonderful invention called an Almond Cow. I know that sounds crazy, but read on to hear why I’m so ecstatic about it..

I saw a little clip of Almond Cow on Instagram and was instantly hooked.

This thing claimed to make all kinds of nut and seed milk in a couple minutes.

As a person who doesn’t have dairy, I have drank all kinds of nut milks over the years. I’ve bought them, I’ve made them myself.

Now today, I love making homemade nut milks. I enjoy the taste better, I love that I know exactly what is in it. I really love the fact that there are no preservatives, gums, fillers, etc in my homemade nut milk. The only thing with making it homemade the traditional way, is it takes time and with my busy schedule I enjoy the convenience of having already made nut milk in my fridge.

It took me a while to actually purchase the Almond Cow, but now that I have it, I wish I would’ve done it sooner! It is one of the greatest investments I have made. You can make any kind of nut or seed milk in the Almond Cow. The 2 best things about it…it takes no more than 2-3 minutes to make and the cleanup is SO easy!!

There are so many combinations of nuts and seeds you can do. My favorites would be just plain almonds, almonds with macadamia nuts, almonds with cashews, plain cashews, the possibilities are endless.

What I do to make mine is fill up the almond cow to the max line (they suggest to use warm/hot water to extract more of the nut flavor and it makes it more creamy). Then fill up the basket with whatever nut combination you like to the 1 cup line. I then put in 2 dates, a pinch of salt, a dash of cinnamon and nutmeg. In the water I put in a teaspoon or so of vanilla, then I attach the basket and turn it on! It takes about 1 minute to go through all 3 cycles and then it is finished!

The “milk” comes out so creamy and delicious! It lasts up to 5 days in the fridge.

I would highly recommend this machine. Especially if you are a person like me who goes through about 2 quarts of nut milk a week. They also have a large industrial version for those who need a large amount.

I absolutely would put the Almond Cow on my list of favorite things! They are a great company with great people and they believe in the power of making healthy lifestyle choices.

Pretty cool of them, but they also are giving anybody who follows me $15 off.

Many of you have asked my perspective on nut milks, and while there are lots of options out there, I love the Almond Cow and think it’s something that will benefit you.
