One of the grandest discoveries in my life has been this…
God created me to show His goodness to the world around me.
The way that goodness comes out of me, is by accepting that “Christ in me, is the Hope of Glory”. (Colossians 1)
This means for the world to see God’s goodness (His glory), I have to accept the gift of Jesus within me, and be willing to release what He is, to those around me.
Perhaps you can identify because of struggles and setbacks in your own life, but sometimes “releasing” God to the world doesn’t seem like easiest thing. When you’ve been in, or if you are in the middle of something that isn’t so pretty, it can really feel like a challenge.
But, I’ve learned that this is perhaps the greatest time to allow God to work through us. After all, He did say “my strength will be made perfect in your weakness”. (2 Corinthians)
Embracing this reality, and it’s one you embrace NOT by feelings, but rather by faith, will release the greatest gift to the world.
The gift of Christ in you.
