Faith comes from one place…
It comes from hearing the Word of God. (Romans 10:17)
Remember, faith isn’t a feeling. I love feelings, but you and I can probably both agree that feelings can sometimes change as quickly as the Texas weather! (which is quite frequently if you’ve never been there!)
So, in my journey to find success and victory in different areas of my life, I’ve chosen (even when I didn’t feel it) to allow what God’s promises in His Word say about me, to be the final say.
Doing so, has not only allowed me to overcome, it’s also made me a much happier and peace-filled person along the way.
Here’s some wonderful scriptures for you to call your own in the areas of discouragement and shame.
Take them, speak them out loud, and CHOOSE to believe that what the Word says takes priority over your circumstances and/or what you may be feeling at the moment.
SCRIPTURES FOR OVERCOMING DISCOURAGEMENT
“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.”– Psalm 23:4
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”– Deuteronomy 31:6
“God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.”– Psalm 46:1
“Tell everyone who is discouraged, be strong and don’t be afraid! God is coming to your rescue…”– Isaiah 35:4
“The Lord your God is in your midst, A victorious warrior. He will exult over you with joy, He will be quiet in His love, He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.”– Zephaniah 3:17
SCRIPTURES FOR OVERCOMING SHAME AND CONDEMNATION
“So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus.”– Romans 8:1
“Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”– 1 John 4:17
“And Jesus said…“Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.” – John 8:11
“Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment]…”– Isaiah 53:4
“Let us have confidence, then, and approach God’s throne, where there is grace. There we will receive mercy and find grace to help us just when we need it.”– Hebrews 4:16
There’s never been a better time than now to let God’s Word work in your life.
Remember, it’s a “fight of faith” that we are in, and since faith comes from God’s Word, let’s believe it, speak it and not be moved away from it in the process.
It just works.

Amen, and may I add Daniel 3:17-18 “…the God we serve is able to save us from it, and He will rescue us from your hand, O king. But even if He does not, we want you to know, o king…that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”
Powerful, faithful promises, praise Jesus!!!
